TOP BANK AWARDS JUNE 20, 2006

In March, Citizens National Bank began their campaign to help raise money for the March of Dimes Walk America. Citizens raised over $5400.00 for the March of Dimes Fight to Save Babies and received the TOP BANK Award, EXTRA MILE Award and a plaque for Bank Day Sponsorship, which was held at Citizens Waitsboro Branch.  Money was raised by selling booties at all the branches, employee casual days & contributions collected by walkers.

In April, our focus changed to raising money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Throughout the next couple of months we had employee casual days, a community luncheon, sold chocolate & collected individual contributions.  The banks relay team was called the Citizens All-Stars with our slogan being “Batter Up to Beat Cancer”. We raised a total of $4801.00 and received the TOP BANK Award.  On the evening of the Relay Citizens All-Stars decorated their tent to resemble a dugout and won the award for BEST CAMPSITE.

A special thanks to all employees for their hard work and dedication in raising money for two very worthy causes.
