Debit Card Restrictions

In an effort to help protect our customers’ debit card transactions, we have added additional technology to help prevent fraud. You may receive a call from our ATM/debit card vendor, STAR/First Data, to verify transactions. Due to fraud, the following states and countries are either blocked or have limitations on debit card usage.

United States

ALL states, excluding Kentucky and Tennessee, are blocked from swiped signature transactions at all merchants except video stores and insurance companies. The cards can still be used with the PIN or manually keyed by the merchant in all states.

Foreign Countries

Debit cards are now blocked in all foreign countries for swiped signature transactions.
